The BJP launched a fierce attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav for his remarks on the Waqf Act, accusing him of inciting communal tensions in Bihar ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections. The criticism centered around Yadav's claim to nullify the Waqf Act, passed by the Narendra Modi government.
During a rally in Patna, Yadav argued that the ruling NDA was nearing defeat and promised that a new government would dismiss the Waqf Act. However, the BJP's national spokesperson, Gaurav Bhatia, challenged these statements, questioning Yadav's constitutional knowledge and labeling his remarks as divisive.
Bhatia further accused the opposition of fostering communal strife and tagged the Mahagathbandhan as anti-democratic. Emphasizing the BJP's commitment to development, he assured voters the NDA's victory in the forthcoming elections, combating what he described as Yadav's 'poisonous' political strategy.
