Imran Khan's PTI Dominates Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senate Elections

Imran Khan's political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), clinched a significant victory by securing six out of the 11 seats contested in the senate elections of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This outcome, as per unofficial results, marks a decisive win for the former premier's party.
Opposition parties managed to capture five seats during these closely-watched elections, which were conducted for the Upper House of the provincial assembly. The competition remained fierce, with all 145 provincial assembly members participating in the voting process, as noted by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Among PTI's successes are victories on four general seats, clinched by candidates Murad Saeed, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi, and Noorul Haq Qadri. The opposition saw wins by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Niaz Ahmad, Pakistan Peoples Party's Talha Mahmood, and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam's Atta-ul-Haq. Additionally, reserved seats for women and technocrats saw PTI's Rubina Naz and Azam Swati, and PPP's Rubina Khalid and JUI's Dilawar Khan securing pivotal wins.
