Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conferred with his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, to discuss Pezeshkian's visit. Momeni expressed condolences over recent flood-related casualties in Pakistan during the conversation, Radio Pakistan noted.

Pezeshkian will be the second Iranian president visiting Pakistan in two years, following Ebrahim Raisi's April 2024 visit. Although the agenda remains unspecified, discussions are anticipated to focus on mutual and regional security concerns.
