BJD Stages Protest Against Rising Crimes Against Women in Odisha

The BJD has intensified its campaign against rising crimes targeting women in Odisha. On Thursday, the party declared plans for a protest outside the South Western DIG office in Koraput on July 26.
BJD senior general secretary Pradeep Majhi sharply criticized the state BJP government for its failure to assure women's safety. Citing a disturbing incident where a 15-year-old girl was raped twice in the Malkangiri district, Majhi condemned the government's inability to prevent such heinous crimes.
Majhi further highlighted the case of a nursing student from Nabarangpur district who remains in critical condition at AIIMS Bhubaneswar after being assaulted. The BJD vows to continue its efforts in advocating for women's safety across Odisha until significant improvements are achieved.
