In a decisive parliamentary session, Union Home Minister Amit Shah described the Hurriyat Conference as a 'terrorist organization' and declared that the Modi government will not engage in discussions with it.
Shah pointed out how previous administrations extended VIP treatment and engaged in dialogue with Hurriyat, but claimed that under Modi, such interactions have been halted, with members behind bars.
Highlighting improvements in Jammu and Kashmir, Shah cited a 70% decrease in terrorist incidents since 2014. Attacks have diminished, and local terrorism has dwindle following the abrogation of Article 370, which Shah asserts destroyed the terrorist infrastructure.
