In Maharashtra's Solapur, BJP workers launched a protest against Congress MP Praniti Shinde following her controversial remarks concerning 'Operation Sindoor' in the Lok Sabha.
Shinde, a first-time MP representing Solapur, criticized the government on Monday, accusing it of using national security theatrics to shift public focus ahead of elections. She called out 'Operation Sindoor' as a media-driven spectacle with unclear achievements following an Indian Army operation against Pakistan post the Pahalgam attack.
The BJP backlash was immediate, labeling her statements an insult to the Indian armed forces. Protestors vocalized their discontent with slogans, staging a demonstration that featured Shinde's image mounted on a donkey to signify their outrage.
