In a scathing critique within the Lok Sabha, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using India's armed forces to manage his public image post the Pahalgam attack. Gandhi urged Modi to explicitly deny US President Donald Trump's remarks on a supposed India-Pakistan ceasefire.
Highlighting earlier comments on India's strategic challenges, Gandhi reiterated the fusion of China and Pakistan as a significant foreign policy oversight. He claimed that the government's restrictive military directives compromised Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, emphasizing that effective military action requires freedom and courage.
Gandhi further accused Modi of failing to mention China's backing of Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and demanded more decisive leadership akin to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He urged the government to unleash the military's full potential without external influence.
