In a compelling call to action, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has urged the Centre to waive loans for those affected by the devastating floods and landslides in her parliamentary constituency of Wayanad.
During the Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, she highlighted the 'lack' of central assistance in aiding the victims' recovery journey. Vadra emphasized the scale of the disaster, revealing that hundreds of people tragically lost their lives, with entire families vanishing.
The catastrophe also led to the destruction of more than 1,600 buildings, marking a severe impact on the community's infrastructure and emotional wellbeing.
