With assembly elections in Bihar approaching, the opposition INDIA bloc has announced a major outreach campaign involving its prominent leaders, such as Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. This initiative is set to begin in earnest during the second week of August.
Tejashwi Yadav, heading the coalition's coordination committee and serving as its de facto chief ministerial candidate, shared at a press conference that national-level leaders will traverse the state post-Raksha Bandhan, organizing yatras and rallies across all nine divisions.
Yadav emphasized urgent issues like electoral roll revisions and state corruption. The INDIA bloc, known as the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, seeks to defeat the entrenched NDA, which slightly triumphed in the last elections.
