Election Commission Dismisses Rahul Gandhi's Vote Theft Allegations

The Election Commission has firmly denied allegations by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who accused the poll authority of engaging in 'vote theft' to favor the BJP. The Commission declared these claims as 'baseless' and urged officials to disregard such 'irresponsible' remarks.

Gandhi, intensifying his campaign against the Election Commission, asserted he possessed 'open and shut' evidence of supposed electoral malpractice. He claimed the evidence was akin to an 'atom bomb' that would force the Commission into a corner with no escape.

Alleging irregularities in various elections, including the 2023 Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, Gandhi stated his party suspected misconduct in subsequent Lok Sabha and Maharashtra assembly elections. Despite these charges, the Election Commission reiterated its commitment to conduct fair and transparent elections.
