Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage at the Kaal Bhairav and Kashi Vishwanath temples late Friday. His spiritual visit came just a day ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled arrival in his Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi.

Adityanath visited the sacred sites for the third time during Sawan, an auspicious month in the Hindu calendar. The chief minister, who plans to stay overnight, aims to ensure seamless planning for Modi's Saturday event, where various developmental projects worth Rs 2,200 crore will be launched.

Top BJP figures, such as state president Bhupendra Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, have gathered in Varanasi to support and participate in the preparations, highlighting the political significance of the visit.
