Trump's IVF Promise: Stalled Ambitions and Legal Hurdles

The White House currently has no intentions to mandate insurance coverage for in vitro fertilization, despite President Donald Trump's past campaign promise to expand access to fertility treatments.

An executive order, signed by Trump earlier this year, aimed to enhance access to IVF and lower the expenses of this widely-used fertility treatment.

However, White House officials stated that while expanding IVF access remains a priority, legal limitations prevent them from mandating coverage without the approval of Congress. No legislative initiative is presently in the works.
