Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, lauded the transformative impact of the Subhadra Yojana, a welfare scheme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024. The program, designed to enhance the lives of women, has already seen over one crore registrations across the state.
Parida highlighted the remarkable change brought about by the scheme, which provides eligible women aged 21 to 60 with Rs 50,000 over five years. She emphasized the significant advancement women are making due to this financial support, stating that it not only aids in development but also empowers them with the blessings of Subhadra Maa.
Responding to questions, Parida expressed sorrow over the tragic death of a 15-year-old girl in Balanga and urged for the depoliticization of such incidents. She reported the government's swift action in attempting to save the girl, including flying her to Delhi for treatment, reinforcing the state's commitment to supporting the family.
