Bihar MP Pappu Yadav has urged the central government to honor former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren with the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award.
Recognizing Soren's unwavering dedication to the upliftment of tribal communities, Yadav, offering a tribute at Soren's Ranchi residence, appealed to national leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to acknowledge Soren's legacy.
Other prominent figures, such as State Health Minister Irfan Ansari, echoed this call, emphasizing that awarding Soren the Bharat Ratna would symbolize justice and appreciation for the tribal community. Soren, who passed away at 81, is fondly remembered for his contributions to social justice.
