The Madhya Pradesh assembly session was adjourned sine die on Wednesday, ending two days earlier than scheduled. The session saw the passage of eight bills, a record for the assembly, while addressing significant legislative, financial, and public importance issues.
During the session, tributes were paid to former state leaders in an observance of tradition, with notable figures such as Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla being remembered. Legislative Affairs Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya praised the Speaker for the efficient conduct of discussions.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav highlighted government commitments, including expanding irrigation to 100 lakh hectares. Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Umang Singhar proposed an increase in the MLA development fund and live telecasting of proceedings, leading to the formation of a committee to review these suggestions.
