Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir is poised to make another visit to the United States, months after a significant four-day conflict with India, raising eyebrows in political circles. His interactions with U.S. officials, particularly President Donald Trump, have drawn criticism from Indian leaders.
Jairam Ramesh of Congress expressed dismay over Munir's standing with the U.S., pointing to an earlier encounter where Munir was hosted for a special lunch by Trump in June. Ramesh emphasized the contrast with Prime Minister Modi's alleged close ties with Trump, which he claims have been 'totally exposed.'
In his upcoming trip, Munir is expected to consult with top U.S. officials and attend a farewell event for the outgoing U.S. Central Command Chief. This move follows a previous visit where discussions led to enhanced cooperation between the U.S. and Pakistan.
