Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to launch a significant 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' from Sasaram in Bihar on Sunday. This 16-day march will traverse 1,300 kilometers, culminating in a major rally in Patna, joined by leaders from various INDIA parties.
In a post on X, Gandhi emphasized the march's objective to safeguard the fundamental democratic right of 'one person, one vote.' Highlighting concerns over electoral disenfranchisement, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera described the Yatra as a potential milestone in India's democratic journey.
Khera further accused the BJP of attempting to marginalize Dalit, Adivasi, minority, and low-income voters through electoral roll revisions. Alleging deeper conspiracies to undermine voting rights, Khera stressed the importance of public participation in the Yatra to uphold electoral integrity.
