BJD chief and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was admitted to SUM Ultimate Medicare in Bhubaneswar due to dehydration. The 78-year-old politician's condition is stable and showing improvement, according to the hospital's bulletin.

Support for Patnaik has been pouring in from various political leaders in Odisha, including Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They have expressed their prayers for his swift recovery on social media platforms.

Patnaik, who underwent spinal surgery in Mumbai earlier this year, leads the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), the ruling party in Odisha until 2024. Party spokespersons and MLAs visited the hospital, expressing optimism for the leader's health recovery.
