Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta faced an alleged attack during a 'Jan Sunwai' programme at her Civil Lines residence on Thursday morning, according to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The incident, described as an 'attack', has been met with fervent condemnation by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, who expressed deep concern over the safety and integrity of the public event.
BJP insiders reported that a man, estimated to be around 35 years old, handed some documents to Chief Minister Gupta. Shortly thereafter, he allegedly attacked the chief minister, they added.
