Senior CPI leader Binoy Viswom reiterated a critical stance against the BJP, referencing past assaults by members during parliamentary sessions. Viswom pointed out past allegations tied to urging better India-China relations as Prime Minister Modi convened with Chinese and Russian heads of state.
In remarks posted on the social media platform 'X,' Viswom recalled being labeled by BJP MPs as 'agents of China and Russia.' This, he stated, was due to advocating for positive diplomatic progress between India, China, and Russia. Viswom highlighted that their plea for peace was met with accusations and disdain.
Claiming these actions demonstrated a misplaced reliance on former US President Donald Trump, Viswom pointed out what he perceived as BJP's oversight of India's interests. He underscored the irony of being vilified for seeking dialogue and reconciliation, for which he expressed hope for BJP's reflection.
