Heightened Tensions: New Russian Strikes on Ukraine Discussed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about Russian missile strikes that targeted a government building in Ukraine. They discussed U.S. military aid, security guarantees, and coordinated sanctions against Russia with European allies.

In a recent development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The discussions focused on Russian strikes targeting Ukrainian infrastructure, including a government building hit by a ballistic missile.
Yermak emphasized the severe impact of ongoing Russian drone and missile attacks that have been ravaging cities, killing civilians, and causing widespread destruction. For the first time, a government building was attacked, highlighting the escalating aggression.
Additionally, Yermak conducted a video call with national security advisers from Britain, France, Germany, and Italy to strengthen Ukraine's defensive posture. This move aligns with the European Union's efforts in Washington to establish coordinated transatlantic sanctions against Russia.
