Rajnath Singh Urges Military Preparedness for Evolving Warfare

In a keynote address at the 16th Combined Commanders' Conference in Kolkata, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called on the Armed Forces to prepare for the unpredictable nature of modern warfare by adapting to technological and unconventional threats like information and biological warfare.

Singh highlighted the critical role of technology in military readiness, citing recent global conflicts as key indicators. He commended the military's success in Operation Sindoor, emphasizing the importance of indigenous platforms and systems in strategic autonomy as part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The Defence Minister also called for increased synergy among the Armed Forces and industry engagement to foster innovation. He reiterated the government's efforts to streamline defence procurement to accelerate operational strength through technological advancement.
