The Patna High Court delivered a stern directive to the Congress on Wednesday, instructing them to remove an AI-generated video from their social media platforms. The contentious video featured Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside his late mother, sparking a legal and political storm.

Acting Chief Justice P B Bajanthri issued the order following a petition presented by advocate Vivekanand Singh. Singh labeled the video as a defamatory publication that violated legal constraints on political parties per the Representation of the People Act.

Additional Solicitor General of India, K N Singh, confirmed the court's decision to keep the video withdrawn until the next trial date. The legal battle also involves Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Union government, and the Election Commission, with social media giants Facebook, Twitter, and Google being ordered to respond.
