These comments emerged after Gandhi accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of facilitating 'vote theft' by deleting Congress voter names in Karnataka. The Election Commission has rebuffed these accusations, firmly stating that no votes have been deleted without following the proper procedures.

Rijiju further alleges that Gandhi's statements align closely with anti-India rhetoric, echoing narratives pushed by detractors in Pakistan. The minister emphasized that the Indian public would not accept such attempts to deflect blame.
