Courage and Triumph: Celebrating India's 1965 Victory

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated India's victory over Pakistan in the 1965 war, attributing the success to the leadership of then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri and the bravery of Indian soldiers. Singh, speaking at an event with war veterans and families, emphasized the nation's strong leadership and unity in overcoming challenges.

Operation Sindoor was highlighted as a testament to India's resolve, with Singh describing it as a demonstration of strength that turned victory into a habit for the nation. He praised the undying spirit of soldiers like Param Vir Chakra awardee Abdul Hamid, whose courage in battles like Asal Uttar remains legendary.

Singh also reflected on the nation's resilience in the face of challenges from neighboring countries, particularly in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He noted India's proactive stance in shaping its destiny, underscoring the importance of courage, restraint, and patriotism in achieving the seemingly impossible.
