In a decisive statement, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav has dismissed speculations suggesting that party stalwart Azam Khan might defect to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). Addressing these rumors, Yadav reiterated Khan's enduring allegiance to the Samajwadi Party.
The remarks come shortly after Khan, a former Uttar Pradesh Cabinet minister, was released on bail after nearly two years in incarceration. Yadav emphasized the unfounded nature of the rumors, underscoring that the party leadership has consistently supported Khan through alleged politically motivated lawsuits.
Meanwhile, in political circles, BJP's Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya commented on the situation via social media, expressing confidence that whether Khan stays with SP or joins BSP, it would not influence the BJP's prospects in the 2027 elections.
