Senior Congress leader and Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated on Thursday that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will serve his full five-year term, dismissing rumors of any political upheaval.
In response to speculated changes in leadership, Parameshwara assured that there would be no revolution and the state will maintain a peaceful status quo with Siddaramaiah at the helm. The Chief Minister himself has committed to respecting the Congress high command's decisions.
Speculations had intensified after debates within Congress about a possible shift in leadership involving Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, sparked by earlier competitive dynamics following the May 2023 election results. However, reports on a rotational chief minister agreement remain unconfirmed by the party.
