A tragic incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain district as a tractor-trolley, transporting 12 individuals and an idol, plunged into the Chambal river, causing the death of two children and leaving one boy missing.
The accident happened near Narasingha village, approximately 30 kilometers from the district headquarters, during an idol immersion ceremony for Vijayadashmi. The mishap was triggered when a 12-year-old accidentally started the tractor.
Rescue operations are underway for the missing boy, Shubham, as local officials confirmed the loss of two children, Vansh and Prithviraj, at a hospital. Efforts to treat other injured individuals continue in nearby medical facilities.
