In a bid to balance development with environmental protection, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has highlighted the synergy between these two critical aspects. On Thursday, Faridabad witnessed a massive plantation drive marking a significant stride towards sustainable growth.

On Dussehra, the Chief Minister paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, underscoring the need for community involvement in environmental initiatives. Apart from the plantation drive, a Birds of Green Corridor is set to be developed as part of the Green Biodiversity Corridor, further enhancing the region's ecological footprint.

Haryana's environmental commitment was echoed in Saini's appreciation for the active participation of citizens. The state has ambitiously targeted planting over 1.6 crore saplings, with the Aravalli Action Plan and initiatives like Herbal Parks and Oxy Vans steering the way. Revenue Minister Vipul Goel emphasized efforts to revitalize the Namo Van area into a verdant landscape.
