The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced on Friday the appointment of Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Aditya Sahu as the new working president of its Jharkhand state unit, marking a strategic reshuffle in leadership.

This decision comes directly from the national president JP Nadda, reflecting the party's intention to strengthen its organizational framework in the eastern state. Sahu takes over from Ravindra Kumar Ray, a former MP, who led the unit during the assembly elections last year. The BJP had faced defeat at the hands of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in that electoral battle.

Aditya Sahu expressed gratitude towards key party figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and JP Nadda for trusting him with this significant responsibility. Committed to the BJP since 1980, Sahu pledged continued dedication to the party's principles and priorities.
