Naveen Patnaik, Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, has publicly expressed his condolences following a tragic landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district. The incident resulted in at least 15 fatalities when a private bus was struck by the landslide on Tuesday evening.
The disaster occurred around 6:40 PM in the Bhalughat area near Berthin, where a substantial portion of a mountain collapsed onto the bus carrying approximately 25 passengers. Efforts are ongoing to rescue those believed to be trapped beneath the debris.
Patnaik, also head of the Biju Janata Dal, extended his thoughts and prayers to affected families, emphasizing the need for quick rescue operations and recovery for injured individuals. His message reflects the widespread anguish over the calamity.
