Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has raised concerns over the contentious issue of Lok Sabha seat delimitation, criticizing its execution without a Census and predicting fierce opposition from southern states.
Raut, speaking in New Delhi, reiterated his party's support for the Women's Reservation Act, emphasizing that the Sena (UBT) has consistently backed women's electoral interests. Maharashtra, he noted, was the first to grant women reservations in local bodies.
He questioned the motive behind increasing the number of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha seats, suggesting it could destabilize states like Maharashtra, which lacks the infrastructure to accommodate additional MLAs.
