TMC MP Saugata Roy voiced his opposition, highlighting concerns that the bill might diminish the representation of southern states in Parliament. Meanwhile, Former Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi emphasized the historical importance of the women's reservation bill, calling it a historic moment of unity. Union Minister Amit Shah assured that the delimitation process would not adversely affect southern India's representation.
