Amit Shah Pledges Jobs and Industrial Revival in West Bengal

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday described the West Bengal assembly elections as an opportunity to rid the state of infiltrators. He also pledged to create one lakh merit-based jobs for youths annually if the BJP wins the election.

Addressing his second rally of the day in Kulti, near the industrial centers of Asansol and Barakar in Paschim Bardhaman, Shah emphasized the BJP's commitment to restoring the area's industrial strength. This, he said, would secure employment for local youth.

Shah accused the current Mamata Banerjee government of diminishing Kulti's status as an iron ore production hub. He vowed that under a BJP-led administration, illegal mining would cease, and pollution-inducing sponge iron production would be effectively controlled, thus providing job opportunities. He also promised an 'infiltrator-free Bengal' should they come to power.
