In a fiery speech at an election rally in Salboni, Paschim Medinipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah intensified his criticism of West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He accused her of protecting infiltrators and collaborating with Humayun Kabir to revive the Babri Masjid issue in the state.

Addressing the crowd, Shah emphasized that the forthcoming West Bengal assembly elections are pivotal for eradicating infiltration and corruption. He dismissed alleged plans by Kabir, a suspended TMC MLA, to construct a Babri Masjid in Bengal, asserting that the BJP would strongly oppose such moves.

Shah also pledged that, if elected, the BJP would introduce a Uniform Civil Code in Bengal, addressing matters like polygamy. He advocated for a unified legal system, stating, 'No one will be able to marry four times,' amid cheers from the audience.
