A Public Interest Litigation has been submitted to the Delhi High Court, accusing unauthorized recording and widespread sharing of court proceedings with former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The petition demands the removal of the content from social media platforms, claiming it breaches court regulations and damages the judiciary's integrity.

The case concerns a hearing on April 13, 2026, where Kejriwal was personally involved, addressing his request for the recusal of Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma in a case related to the central agencies' probe into the Delhi Liquor Policy. Advocate Vaibhav Singh, the petitioner, asserts that the recordings lasted between 45 to 50 minutes and were illegally shared on platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, narrating misleading information.

The petition pinpoints political figures, including Digvijaya Singh and Saurabh Bharadwaj, and mentioned that Kejriwal himself shared the clips, which further increased their reach. It also names individuals like journalist Ravish Kumar and political figures such as Manish Sisodia and others for their alleged role in disseminating the material. The plea stresses that distributing such recordings without consent defies the "High Court of Delhi Rules for Video Conferencing for Courts, 2021" and the "Electronic Evidence and Video Conferencing Rules, 2025," posing a threat to public trust in the judiciary.
