TMC Urges BJP to Avoid Pre-Poll Provocation Amidst Heavy Central Forces Deployment in West Bengal

As West Bengal gears up for elections, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has urged the BJP to cease inciting voters, warning of potential post-election unrest. TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh criticized BJP leaders for potentially unsettling the local political climate with their rhetoric.

The TMC also condemned the substantial deployment of central armed forces in the state, characterizing it as an attempt to intimidate voters. Comparing it to inadequate deployments in areas affected by violence, TMC's Riju Dutta expressed concerns over skewed priorities of the authorities.

Despite the tensions, the TMC remains optimistic about electoral success, confident in securing a fourth term for Mamata Banerjee with a greater margin of victory in the upcoming polls on April 23 and 29.
