BJP Seeks EC Action on Kharge's 'Terrorist' Remark Against PM Modi

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged the Election Commission (EC) to address a contentious remark made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'terrorist'. The BJP is demanding a public apology and urging the EC to initiate penal action against Kharge under relevant legal provisions.

The controversy erupted following Kharge's statement accusing the Prime Minister of terrorizing political parties and individuals through the misuse of government machinery. Although Kharge later clarified he was speaking metaphorically, BJP has requested the EC to impose campaign restrictions and other corrective measures.

BJP delegations, including Union ministers, plan to meet with the EC to discuss further actions, emphasizing the need to ensure fair election proceedings and maintain the dignity of the electoral process. The party also calls for the immediate removal of Kharge's remarks from media and social platforms.
