Tripura's Political Firestorm: Chief Minister Vows Action Against Post-Poll Violence

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has declared a firm stance against post-election violence in the state, vowing that no force will be allowed to incite riots under political pretenses. Following the tribal council election results, which saw alleged attacks by Tipra Motha Party supporters, Saha assured that perpetrators will face justice.

During his visits to the violence-stricken areas in Khowai, West Tripura, Sepahijala, and South Tripura districts, Saha confirmed that the government is committed to ensuring the rule of law. He stated that police forces have been directed to arrest those responsible for the aggression against BJP supporters, some of whom have sought refuge in relief camps.

With the TMP winning a significant majority in the tribal council elections, Saha, accompanied by top state officials, has been actively assessing the situation and delivering support to affected party members. BJP leaders continue to stand in solidarity with the victims, proclaiming firm opposition to political violence in Tripura.
