As Falta prepares for its Assembly repoll, BJP's West Bengal leader, Samik Bhattacharya, has openly criticized the TMC and invited their leader, Abhishek Banerjee, to campaign. Bhattacharya claimed TMC went into hiding after recent electoral setbacks and mocked their silence.
Highlighting the political tension, Bhattacharya accused TMC leaders of retreating indoors amid allegations of police absence, and voter intimidation. He assured that BJP will welcome TMC campaigns, asserting BJP's confidence in securing a massive victory.
Bhattacharya addressed local communities, promising job opportunities and non-interference in police matters, countering past election irregularities. The Election Commission had canceled the previous Falta election due to reports of malpractices, presenting BJP with an opportunity to regain control.
