Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy arrived in Jeddah for his second visit to Saudi Arabia within a month, aiming to fortify security cooperation and promote Ukraine's battle-hardened technology in the Middle East amid the ongoing tensions with Iran.
Upon his arrival, Zelenskiy announced on X that Ukraine had secured financial guarantees for resilience during recent meetings with European leaders. He stressed the importance of advancing agreements with Saudi Arabia in the domains of security, energy, and infrastructure, mentioning plans to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Although Zelenskiy himself did not specify the city, Saudi state TV confirmed his arrival in Jeddah. In his previous visit to Saudi Arabia, agreements were reached on defense cooperation, which Zelenskiy described as foundational for future contracts. Ukraine's initiatives also include offering expertise in neutralizing Iranian drones and restoring free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
