At a recent rally in West Bengal, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the Narendra Modi government of selectively targeting him with several legal cases while sparing Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee. Gandhi claims this is due to Banerjee's lack of direct confrontation with the BJP.
Gandhi outlined that he was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 55 hours, questioning why Mamata Banerjee hasn't faced similar scrutiny from the ED or CBI. He criticized the TMC leadership for fostering unemployment and corruption, further arguing that Banerjee's alleged inaction allows for BJP's increasing influence in the state.
The Congress leader pointed out that no jobs were created under Banerjee, alleging her government indulged in scams and failed the citizens. He warned that Banerjee's governance paves the way for BJP's entry in West Bengal, a sentiment echoed by recent application figures for unemployment allowances.
