Amit Shah Blasts Mamata, Vows BJP Sweep in Bengal Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over alleged failures in addressing women's safety in the state. During a public rally in Jamalpur, Shah claimed that women in Bengal are not safe under Mamata's administration.

The Union Home Minister expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sweeping the state elections, particularly predicting a victory in 110 seats during the first phase. Shah confidently stated that April 4 would herald a new dawn, with celebrations planned for the anticipated victory.

Addressing issues of corruption, Shah accused the TMC government of misappropriating central funds meant for public welfare. He committed to recovering misused funds and implementing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to benefit the Matua community if the BJP is elected. The second polling phase is slated for April 29, with votes being counted on May 4.
