Abhishek Banerjee, national general secretary of the Trinamool Congress, expressed confidence in securing a sweeping victory in West Bengal's assembly elections, forecasting more than 225 seats for his party while limiting the BJP to below 50 seats.

Addressing rallies, Banerjee accused the BJP of using divisive tactics to marginalize Bengalis and questioned the economic claims of their governance. He highlighted the achievements of the TMC government, particularly in employment and infrastructure development.

Banerjee also criticized the BJP-led central government for allegedly disenfranchising genuine Bengali voters through the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and vowed to uproot the BJP from the Central government within a few years.
