Hungary's soon-to-be prime minister, Peter Magyar, announced on Sunday his intention to travel to Brussels for informal discussions.

The talks with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen aim to resolve issues that have led to the freezing of EU funds. These funds were withheld due to conflicts with Magyar's predecessor, Viktor Orban.

Following his decisive victory in the April 12 elections, Magyar emphasized the urgency of addressing the economic stagnation Hungary has faced for the past three years.
