In a sharp critique aimed at both domestic and international politics, Maharashtra Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar compared the discontent in India against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration to the growing public frustration faced by former U.S. President Donald Trump. The comments follow a dramatic shooting incident at Washington D.C.'s White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Addressing a press conference in Nagpur, Wadettiwar accused Trump of exacerbating global conflicts and dragging the United States into unnecessary wars. He implied that dissatisfaction with the central government in India could mirror the sentiments observed in the United States, despite the lack of widespread public protests.

The Congress leader also condemned the act of violence targeting the U.S. President, emphasizing that despite the negative sentiment, such actions are inappropriate. The incident, involving suspect Cole Tomas Allen, prompted immediate evacuation of President Trump and other officials, highlighting the security vulnerabilities at the high-profile event.
