On Monday, a protest march led by several members of the Indian Youth Congress garnered attention as participants voiced strong opposition against U.S. President Donald Trump's recent remarks describing India as a 'hellhole'.
The demonstrators began their march from Teen Murti Circle in Delhi around 1 pm, aiming to reach the US Embassy to make their dissent heard. However, their journey was cut short as police intervened, citing the protest's impact on law and order.
Protesters argued their right to speak against the derogatory comment, though officials detained 10 to 15 individuals for gathering in a non-designated area. Authorities emphasized the maintenance of law and order as a priority.
