Saurabh Bharadwaj, Delhi's AAP unit chief, on Monday refuted Raghav Chadha's analogy of AAP as a 'toxic workplace' following Chadha's decision to join BJP. Bharadwaj emphasized that political affiliations are based on ideology rather than mere workplace convenience.
Chadha, alongside six Rajya Sabha MPs, recently defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party, criticizing AAP's internal environment. Bharadwaj contended that while employees leave jobs, political allegiances demand a deeper ideological connection.
Instead of a conventional departure, Bharadwaj alleged that Chadha conspired with BJP, aligning raised issues like gig workers' rights and advocating BJP's agenda in Parliament. The merger was approved, increasing BJP's upper house numbers to 113. AAP's representation now stands reduced to three members.
