Congress Member of Parliament Rajeev Shukla has appealed for patience in light of exit poll results offering initial indicators of political trends in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry. Shukla, addressing the media, underscored the historical inaccuracy of exit polls and counseled against immediate political conjectures.
Shukla remarked, 'We should wait for May 4th. Exit polls have been inaccurate in the past as well. There has been a big change. The reality may differ from projections... We should avoid political forecasts. I anticipated Congress' triumph in Kerala.' Recent exit polls signal a BJP victory in Assam and a potential breakthrough in West Bengal.
Projections indicate the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) may eclipse the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala, concluding its decade-long governance. Multiple surveys forecast a substantial majority for UDF in the 140-seat assembly. The conclusive election outcomes will be revealed on May 4, after robust voter participation across the states.
