Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken a prominent position with Baijayant Panda at the helm of the Committee on Public Undertakings. These strategic appointments by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla are crucial as they determine the course of various parliamentary committees for the next term.
Additionally, Speaker Birla has assigned leadership roles to several BJP leaders, including Sanjay Jaiswal, who will chair the Committee on Estimates. The appointments reflect a balanced representation from leading parties like the BJP and Congress and further include members from DMK, TMC, NCP, and others.
